They were against vaccines with abortion babies and blood too, until Biden put in $120M for faith-based vaccine outreach programs and similar efforts from governments around the world (eg. India where their nationalized vaccine system uses blood-based COVID vaccines).

Witnesses were Anti vaccine till 1950!
by Witness 007 in"brother mcmillan wrote "faith on the march" about his wonderful life at bethel.
he wrote of an incident in 1943 where a group of witnesses in jail for refusing military service were against getting vaccinated and he came to the rescue visiting them and telling them it was ok. the reason for this was "the golden age" magazine in the 1920's describes vaccines as puss filled poison...so they were following their watchtower training..

@rafe: I have a set of those electrical tools, right next to the gas powered ones I had to buy to replace them.
They do NOT work except for the smallest lots and smallest jobs. There just isn’t enough power in lightweight electric motors and batteries for the job and if you make one, they would weigh a lot. Husqvarna sells a backpack lithium battery which lasts ~2 hours, that is on top of whatever replaces the backpack motor that current 4-stroke gas engines occupy.
Tesla cars for example have a battery pack that weighs 1200 lbs on itself and requires 4 motors weighing ~400 lbs total and they get a dismal 200-300 mile range and refuels in 4-8 hours.
The average gas engine in a similar sized car weighs ~350 lbs and the gas tank, filled, weighs ~50lbs and roughly 1.5-2x the mileage of a Tesla and refuels in less than 10 minutes.
So you can easily see that a small engine replacement would weigh 4x as much. Given a commercial weed whacker weighs as much as 50 lbs, the battery + motor would weigh 200 lbs, and you need to haul about twice as much batteries as well just to make sure you make it through the day.
Its easy to conclude that since your small apartment yard can be mowed with an electric mower, everything should be electric, but to do that with the commercial versions that do football fields are utterly impractical. Those riding mowers and snowblowers are basically small cars, Tesla , VW etc barely can get their driving cars at a reasonable price point and can’t maintain production to replace gas cars.
Obviously you would have to charge the batteries as well while on a job, so you would have to run a gas engine generator anyway except you compound to the inefficiency because gas generator > electric is about 40% efficient and then electric > motion is about 70% efficient making the whole system about 30% efficient. While gas > motion is about 50-70% efficient, so now you just doubled your gas consumption.

The "Regular Pioneer" title has now become a total joke
by pistolpete inwe just had our co visit a few weeks ago.
apparently, he was encouraging all who could to regular pioneer, to at least try it out for a year.
because of this, we had a few people in our hall become one.. so this weekend we were on zoom service, and the sister that was just appointed was talking about it.

Remember when pioneering was 130 hours for men and 120 for women (10h because they have periods).
It has indeed become a joke, the light that shines brighter must be so blindingly obvious to the world they can take it easy now.

What Do You Like About Biden's Build Back Better Agenda & the Democrat's Build Back Better Act?
by Disillusioned JW inwhat do you like about biden's build back better agenda & the democrat's build back better act?
is it liberal and progressive enough for you or do you wish it would go further?

It’s a massive boondoggle. It will raise prices on everything from healthcare to energy and at the end we will have nothing to show for it.
Its basically a communist wishlist that puts the cost of it 6 years down the line. They’ll spend 7T today, over 10 years the total cost is over 20T. They just artificially let the programs “end” 2-6 years from now knowing full well they’ll just be renewed.
If you want to look at the end result, Detroit was a model city with much of the same provisions, as was Chicago and NYC and California dabbled at times with similar policies.

That is an act of war, the Biden admin should respond. This didn’t happen under Trump, he’d be occupying halfway through Mexico by now.

A group of 136 countries set a minimum global tax rate of 15% for big corporations
by Disillusioned JW ina group of 136 countries set a minimum global tax rate of 15% for big corporations.
that is a major goal accomplished by the biden administration.
seehttps://www.wsj.com/articles/countries-agree-to-global-deal-to-curb-tax-avoidance-11633709979 .. if corresponding legislation gets passed into law in the usa it will be much harder for corporations doing business in the usa to move their operations out of the usa to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

@diogenesister: taxes reduce profits by the amount taxed, thus they reduce the share that goes to your pension funds and shareholders and instead it goes into the black hole of government.
You can see that these taxes aren’t used to reduce debt or to increase revenue for businesses across the board, government spending is wasteful and a drain on the economy. Eventually they will find that it still isn’t enough and raise taxes even more.
Name a government program that is self funded or profitable. There is none. Social security has a negative interest rate when accounting for inflation (-3%) compared to private pension funds (+15%) and socialized healthcare such as ObamaCare, or NHS in the UK created a system where there are now more administrators than doctors. For every doctor there are 2 administrators and 1 nurse that simply do paperwork,

@Simon: the big corporations do pay massive amounts of taxes for income, employment, social security and property taxes.
The notion that Amazon isn’t paying any taxes is a completely false narrative. They obviously will use whatever tax rules are in place to move money around, and no tax rule can change that, because those rules must exist for there to be a functioning economy.
And the more taxes are levied the less taxes are going to get paid. In Europe even small businesses <$20M revenue invest in accountants to avoid the heaps of taxes, because it can save them a few million, which isn’t a practice you see in the US until you get to about $200+M in revenue because it just isn’t worth it.
France levied a wealth tax and revenue plummeted so badly they went into a depression, the Obama era tax increases, once they came fully into effect (off course, by then Obama was almost out of office), total revenues stayed roughly the same, revenue from corporations dropped while the revenue from payroll and individuals increased enormously. So raise taxes just means people move money out of your country. Nowadays it’s not even a country, cryptocurrency allows you to extract money and it will be forever untraceable.

It won’t go into effect until 10 years from now, so the effects on those poor countries won’t be felt until long after Biden is gone.
Ireland made it so it said 15% instead of at least 15%, so it can’t be adjusted later, and the global average is already at 20%. So basically it will do nothing for the rich countries like the US where corporate tax rates are already the highest in the world while bankrupting poorer countries as they implement these measures.
Not only that, it has no chance of passing in the US and most of the unstable countries that signed onto this will reject it as soon as they notice the deleterious effects of raising taxes on the production.

Censuring medicine and information; our new culture.
by was a new boy in'last night's flccc weekly update featured stories of families who fought in court to compel hospitals to give their loved ones ivermectin.
that it has come to this is tragic.
63 studies have now shown ivermectin’s efficacy in all stages of c19 disease.'.

@joey jojo: In other post I've already posted to NIH websites with Ivermectin studies. At this point it's just willful ignorance if you think these studies don't exist.

Question about Congregation accounts in ECUADOR 🇪🇨
by suavojr inwondering if anyone here knows why local congregations in ecuador do not have accounts under the congregation’s name.
i just found out they use the personal information of one of the elder’s 😳 wtf .
what’s the legal reason for this?
-
Anony Mous
@New day: Equador is pretty much a free and open and relatively stable country since the early 80s. It’s also a very religiously diverse country, so it’s unlikely they would tax religion, you’d hear them complaining loudly like they do about France and Russia.
The WTBTS doesn’t know it is being stolen from if it disappears between the box in the hall and the bank. I happen to know from experience it’s rather easy to divert funds from one set of books to the other and even completely have it disappear from the books into someone’s pocket. I know at least one person that was disfellowshipped for doing it.
